The Chocolate Lab (TCL) is an award-winning chocolate and confections manufacturer. We are a team of learners who work who love what we do – creating artful, world class products. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that loves to create fun, original, and engaging content, across multiple digital platforms.

Summary of Position:  

Reporting to the Creative Director, you are responsible for the execution and implementation of TCL’s digital media strategy across relevant social media platforms, and the company’s website.

Duties Include:

  • Planning, creating, editing, and posting relevant and engaging content (text, photo, video) for TCL’s existing social media platforms and company website, content that drives engagement, brand & product awareness, and audience growth.
  • Assisting the Creative Director in implementing and executing TCL’s corporate vision, and maintaining a unified brand voice and presence across all channels with a focus on organic engagement and meaningful interactions.
  • Assisting Senior Management in creation, preparation, and delivery of TCL’s weekly e-newsletters.
  • Facilitating regular and relevant reporting on Social Media metrics and milestones, for Senior Management.

We want to meet you if you have the following requirements:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • A history of dependability and reliability
  • Lover of chocolate, and want to make engaging content that will unite chocolate lovers.
  • As a content creator, you live and breathe in the “creator economy”
  • Minimum 1yr of relevant experience creating engaging content.
  • Ambitious, self-sufficient at creating content, and full of ideas.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, while managing your time between projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are comfortable using photo, video, and audio editing software — Adobe Creative Suite
    experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Comfortable behind and in front of the camera.

  • Flexible, 25-40hrs weekly; open to local contractors.
  • Our Factory is located at #4, 21 Highfield Circle SE
  • Preference given to local (Calgary) candidates
